Frequently asked questions

We recommend COB or high-density LED strips for the best results. Standard or low-density strips can cause a "dotting" effect. If you prefer to use a lower-density strip, our lens diffuser (sold separately) will help minimize this.

Our adhesives are designed for a strong, lasting hold — perfect for keeping your lights securely in place! That said, since wall conditions and paint types can vary, we cannot guarantee the absence of paint chips upon removal. For a more renter-friendly option, many of our customers have had great results using removable adhesive strips — specifically, 3M Command Strip Medium Refills (at the customer's own discretion).

As a modular product, some seaming is inherent by nature. Up close (within 1–2 feet), seams may be visible — but as you step back, they become minimal and hardly noticeable. Our kits also include Seam Covers that fit inside the channel to prevent light from escaping through the gaps. Since the Luma Cove is typically installed above or below eye level, the seams tend to disappear from normal viewing angles.
